Is there a general (audible) reference point with acoustic instruments?Another way of asking the same question would be: when do you notice the need for stereo sources for bass (or mid-bass) musical information as opposed to the the coverage of a sub? Leaving the "two subs are better" camp out of the scenario for the moment.
