Been messing about with BK-16 tried fe166e ,166esr,
ff165k with t90a,The new fe166esr driver works pretty good in this cabinet but like to be on a low stand.It has much better midrange definition, better trebile but still benifits a bit from t90a and deeper bass.fe166e isnt the best choice the ff165k sounded better.The fe166esr is a wonderful driver.I also have a fostex back horn cab for fe166e tried fe166esr in that ,sounded better than BK-16 ,bass was smoother and a bit lower.Image hieght realy maters to fe166e and 166esr.If you move off axis the driver losses its trebile.So if you have skills build the fostex design or? for fe166esr ,if not cheap out and put it in a BK-16 only a few mods to baffle to fit I used my dremel.BK-16 with fe166esr is 96db or so.
