Difference Models of Altec 414

I am trying to wrap my head around the different models of Altec 414. From the limited amount of information I have been able to get from the web, the primary differences lie in magnet type, impedance, frame construction, and magnet return pot.

This is my current understanding - please correct me where I am wrong:

1. 414A - 16 ohms, alnico magnet, welded pipe/plate magnet return pot, curved frame, decorative magnet cover.

2. 414Z - same as 414A with no magnet cover. Found in factory-built enclosures.

3. 414B - 8 ohm, alnico magnet, welded pipe/plate magnet return pot, angular cast frame, decorative magnet cover.

4. 414C - 8 or 16 ohm, alnico magnet, cast stepped magnet return pot, angular cast frame.

5, 414E - 8 or 16 ohm, ceramic magnet, angular cast frame.

6. GPA 414B - 8 or 16 ohms, alnico magnet, angular cast frame, cast stepped magnet return pot. This looks exactly like a 414C.

Does anyone have insight to the differences in cone construction, voice coil, or magnet strength between models, especially between the welded vs. cast return pots?
