Check out the thread in another forum, that has the pictures of the show in Munich. Nothing but $50k humongous speakers. I would take your 825 over any of those. Does it go to 30khz or down to 17hz... no. But the mid-range presence, I bet, is not even close... which is where most of the beautiful music is.
And over time, if that's important to you, you could get the extremes w subs and tweeters. You may not need a tweeter with the right diaphragm and an attenuating network. And high efficiency subs are so easy now with all the tapped horn plans etc..
