OK, its nice. Bet it helped over stock horn. What did it sound like to YOU, before and after such a treatment?? What you did, adds damping and mass loading, simultaneously.Next, LISTEN to four added bricks, on end, felt on part that touches, to the TOP PLATE of your SE amplifier's chassis, and also listen to a fifth brick, added to the top of the power transformer.
A-B that with a repeatable source like a CD player of high quality.
Does music-playback get "more focused and lower in distortion " ???
Bricks are sixty cents each at Lowes, etc etc. A three dollar mod !! :-)
Have fun listening to that, I did !!
Whatever that component is with a smooth stone on top of it, replace smooth stone with a sixty cent ( much heavier ) brick on end, and A-B, just listen to that, AFTER you do the amp's mass loading.
Then, place a second sixty cent brick BENEATH the same component, so two bricks are associated with it. Fun, fun, fun.
