Thanks, I will consider that, but the large 10 Ohm pot needs to stay in there for now.I want the fine-tune / level match capability, a whole lot.
Its possible "I" will never give the pot up ! :-)
IF ( a big word ) I were to use Rs, I personally would likely double up Mills 5 Watters, and MATCH them, or have Percy Match them, to a fraction of a percent.
Two Rs in parallel, matched so they won't smear, will give TWO PATHS for the electrons to flow, and should be better sounding than one R .
