You probably have done your homework on this, for best results the original designer Greg Timbers suggests going bi-amplified and stay away from passive network, you can find some recommendations from him here;

If you like the inherent sound of JBL 4-way monitors you will be impressed with 4345 performance, I have a DIY 4350 bi-amplified, I do not believe that any speaker can reproduce the sound of Steinway D piano like this JBL.
