ok - I have not heard either but I do have the super 3xrs. I have a very problematic room, so take these comments for whatever they're worth. And remember, they apply to the 3 not the 7 or the alnico.

There was one moment with one song where I was in just the right spot and mood and had my best ever speaker experience. Wholistic and holographic, good tone etc.

Normally, they can sound a bit ragged when louder, sometimes thin. Bass is quite decent, down to 50hz or so. Generally good at low volumes. Not thrilled with the treble.

I suspect the 7's and esp. the alnicos will have a fatter tone with (obviously) better bass. The Omega brand has been around, and is pretty well regarded.
