Looks like the baffle can be removed, screws, and I don't think glue was used (a lot of screws).

Anyway that would allow me to do a Arden style baffle loosing no volume.

The big question is then what to use ... MDF, parcle board (arden), real wood ... I always wondered about that, all I've heard is the Prestige line ($$$) and my own arden which is parcel board and sounds great.
