Similar to you. I had Rick build me a crossover that could take the electronic signature out of the way the speakers reproduced music as much as possible without compromising other aspects of production. The crossovers meet this objective at a reasonable cost. They were more expensive than the standard units at the time, but it seems that current units now use some of the same caps. I'm not sure how mine might differ to current units.
I have plans to rebuild them at some point with 10 AWG North Creek inductors for the mid-bass and Jupiter Cu foil caps (except for the zobel)... if Jupiter can make 'em. That said, I am in no rush - the speakers sound mighty fine as is and I have other projects ahead of that.
