I enjoyed them with JE Labs OB. Then I tried 620 cabs but decided to go with its small cousin, the 612C cabinets. On the 620, they gain a little more bass, but they lost the clarity of the midrange IMO. The 612C is perfect for me, using 511 and 811 horns and J Markwart XO's, sometimes with 802D's for HF instead of the ones on the 604's at 800Hz first order.I was happy, then I switched to Le Cleach horns (425 Hz and 350 Hz). Now I only use the LF of my 604's. Then I tried active XO (mini DSP) with the 604's for both LF and HF and it is definitely better!
Now, 604's as LF and Le Cleach as HF with either 288C's or 802D's with active XO's.It never stops.........
Enjoy your 604's. To me, they do make sense.
