Hi guys,
Hope you all had a great Christmas and wishing a happy new year!
After years of experimenting (mistakes) and reading about many other folks projects along with lots of listening in many different venues it seems to me that compression loading as much of the bass\midbass reagent as possible is a good design philosophy. Right now I only compression load the subwoofer and tweeter ranges. Although I havn't directly experimented with midbass horns, believe that may be the band that benefits most from compression and horn loading.
Searching areas close enough to drive to I found some EV PI 6615s which look to me to be a decent setup.
hat kind of horn design do you guys think this is, tapped, or scoop? Will it really go to 50hz without aide?
I know it needs a controller\crossover but I have tons of parts to try a passive.
Any other thoughts opinions experiences are welcome.
Thanks,
Scott
