I run big coaxials + subs and like them. Pretty simple to set up, and quite modular / easy to upgrade later (i could swap the subs for something bigger, get a better bass amp, change the HF driver etc). 95dB is easy to do with coaxials.
Use a well regarded coaxial, and you could just clone someone else's crossover and box.
You could go with cheap and semi-active by using two t-amps. Use a first order crossover at line level (before the amps) plus a first order passive (after the amps). No preamp, since your pc is the source.
