The original mounting position with the tweeter under that particular mid horn is likely due to it's intended PA application where the speaker would be mounted above the audience, and having the tweeter above the mid (and set back) would have made for some masking of the highs close up. As you're not likely going to be listening laying on the floor, then this should't be an issue for home listening where getting the drivers in phase is well worth the effort. The ST350 (with its CD horn) is less beamy than a T350, but you can experiment adjusting the angle. While just raising the tweeter higher will tend to lessen reflections from the back of the mid, you don't want to raise the tweeter too far as the mid and tweeter can then tend to lack integration. Just a simple shelf above the mid would be preferable to having the tweeter output bouncing off the back of the mid, or getting the tweeter up so high it can fire over the mid. With an appropriate EQ circuit to compensate for it's falling high freq. response, the ST350 is a good performer, and a real "sleeper" currently as used horn tweeters go.
