Thanks to those who commented earlier on the FR of the EA 175. Seems like it is well worth some attention.

Now that I've gotten the boxes open and drivers removed it is apparent that I have one EA 175 and one EC 175. Does anyone have an opinion on the EC vs the EA? For those uninitiated, the EA is the Alnico version that was available for a couple years, and the EC is the ferrite version that replaced it. Both seem to have "good" reputations. I'm looking for smooth FR and extension beyond 10-11k. Do the comments regarding the EA apply equally well to the EC? Also, any performance difference between the 16 ohm version vs. the 8 ohm?
