Unity was the name of the concept in Tom's previous company, Synergy is the name for the newer Danley Sound Labs cabinets.

The Synergy conical offset horns do utilize different "tap" locations for the various drivers covering different pass bands, but the ports without drivers behind are simply bass reflex ports. The specific location of the bass reflex port in the horn does have an effect on its response.

The pocket handles seen on some models have internal boxes, they are not open to the cabinet interior as far as I know, though a handle hole could serve as a port also.
