glad to help. The fronts are lacquered I believe, so they will require stripping before refinishing I'd think. Buffing the inside of the horn piece will be a real challege due to size, I'd guess. I believe the whole assembly is held together with magnetic force, eg. the back "cup" and the middle ring section, that the front horn bolts to. This is typical of compression drivers, and why it needs demagging to service the internals of the "cup" part. There isn't much to fall out, so removing front horn is no big deal. The diaprhagm is held in pretty securely and difficult to remove even if you wanted to, ultimately. (without demagging/disassembly). It's really a job for Madisound or other pros, unfortunately. Not much DIY service can be done on these from my experience. (fostex horn tweets in general).
