personally it would do my head in no matter how well they matched. And I bet they wouldn't come close. Most vintage matched drivers when tested rarely match so what hope would you have? of course yahoo is the place to ask though I look forward to following this thread as I just come to search HDP/315/8 drivers as I am interested to know if replacing the crappy reinforced cones with gold cones would get you closer to gold sound and efficiency and other specs. Tannoy group is a bit tricker to use. As I am not a member.
