RE: Altec 511b/416 crossover?

As already noted or implied, only the early 802 and its 808 variant can load properly down to 500 Hz on a 511 with all others needing at least 800 Hz for decent power handling, especially for prosound or when excessive shelving is required to mate to a so-so efficiency woofer, though with flea power it shouldn't be an issue even if you need a bit of extra CD horn EQ to flatten it out.

Haven't messed with tubes since the '60s, so all I know is that 2nd order with an auto-former and woofer impedance compensation same as Altec N500G except for 8 ohm would be a good traditional XO.
