Final debate on 120-700 Hyperbolic with B&C 8PE21

I've been working away on Hornresp doing a hyperbolic design ( T=0.5 or 0.6) for 8PE21 that will cross at approx 120Hz to a tapped horn and 700Hz to a 288-H on Azura AH425.
This horn is modelled at about 3000cm2 mouth, 81cm2 throat ( ie. about 4 inches ) and 85cm length . It looks very nice and is close to what I want . Size-wise it fits my room nicely if I built it as a rectangular 1.6:1 mouth of 70x43cm in the Bruce-Edgar style ( conical sides ) , mounted long-axis vertically . Too much wider would be a problem ...

Now, searching as many of Bruce's posts as possible, I get a good feeling about this, but I notice Bruce said somewhere that the transition from a rectangular horn to a round one would be audible at 900Hz crossover. I'm just wondering (a) if I can get away with these at 700Hz and (b) what aspect would be audible - would it be soundstage effects or colouration ?
