Greetings all,

I recently took the BIG mono plunge. I am also currently working on a review to post here which will be the long version of why I think this is the best speaker I have ever had the pleasure to hear or own.
The JBL Hartsfield replica! Built to spec by Bob Jacobson at JR Sound in Burton, Michigan (810)743-6580 and stuffed with the equivalent drivers from the JBL Pro Series as the original Hartsfield- 2205/2440/2390(horn/lens)/3115 crossover.
I have been driving it with great success with a Quad II - 15 watt, KT66 PP amp. I'm getting the feeling that maybe an amp in the 10-12 watt range of the 300b/2A3 variety may be the ticket, but I have no experience with that flavor. I mostly listen to jazz, vocals, and music from the period of the Hartsfield -1954-1964...
Would anyone like to offer a suggestion for a mate?

All the best,

Michael

See the attached link to pics of my Hartsfield as it was being built. I just finished staining a sheet of Mahogany veneer and hope to apply it tomorrow. Details to follow!
