I always used a T-handled pin with a right-angle bend about 1/8" or so from the tip.
I would poke it through the center, pull, rotate the pin, and pull some more.
The dome is crushed and soft, so I would put on a dab of hair-spray with a toothpick.
If you leave it crushed there is a real chance that the coil will warp.
I never really cared for the L36, the L100/4311 was a much better sounding speaker. The L16/L19 with a subwoofer sounds much smoother and can play quite loud (even louder than the L100/4311).
