I've owned both. The 802 and the 2001. Swapping the 802 out for the 2001 will result in an improvement. What JLH said is also true. The 902 is not quite as good as the 802, and I've also owned that - though it is extremely close. Further, I've used these with the woofers you suggest.

Here's the thing. Once you use 2001s and horns like JLH suggests, (BTW, JLH built me some tractrix horns for my 2001s) you will find that they out class the woofer section. The sound will be better than where you are, but marriage will fall apart....

Ultimately, I left there for single driver bliss.
