Although they have 2 drivers, I think you might be interested in the MHI Evidence as reviewed on 6moons.com. The main driver is run full range and the ribbon is a super tweeter (apparently up to 120kHz). Doped corrugated surrounds for long life. Higher efficiency too. You could buy 3 pairs for the same price as the lens.
Designed around SETs and tripaths and horns, I think they would sound great with a gainclone/chip amp but haven't heard that particular configuration yet.
I use a pair in my edit suite and plan to get the 'sub' unit when it is officially released.
