Paul Klipsch knew enough not to go horizontal with the KHorn and did so anyway, as making the cab tall enough to go vertical was inconvenient.

With a round throat the Jensens probably would be better off with a vertical mouth, but without polar plots its impossible to say for sure. If you have a meter test it yourself outdoors with a 10kHz test tone measured 45 degrees off-axis, to see which way works best.
