No help here, but I have two bits I have heard. No way to tell if either is accurate, it's just hearsay.

1) The integral dome/dust cap is said to be unique; no other cone having been made with this feature.

2) Some 10-15 years ago someone else tried to do this, and said the cones could only be made in lots of 10,000 units. (One assumes he found an original cone maker who was unwilling to make fewer, at least at a reasonable cost? Or perhaps they did not have the tooling?)

Sounds like a very interesting project. The only one I've seen measured was pretty flat up to 8-10kHz, then fell off pretty steeply. Adequate for a surprisingly large amount of musical enjoyment, though.
