the (older?) model with I think 31 eq bands and retailed for $300 in my similar set and single-driver rig. I found that I got much more top and bottom end with it in after performing the auto eq with the matching microphone. The imaging became highly precise, and it in fact reminded me a bit of a friend's tact rig in that regard.

Ultimately, I took it out. I played the system with the eq in for a friend, and literally after one note he said "why would you do that?" Specifically, it killed the tone. All texture bleached out, and the harmonics and purity I'd built toward were gone.

Now, I use the eq only on my sub. Offers a lot of control there!
