I got a pink noise CD which shows the SV drivers up about 10 dB at 2500 hz relative to 500 - about as expected.

But I also measured a multi-driver, crossovered speaker that is speced to measure pancake-flat and it is up 8 dB!

I don't blame it on the meter as the noise is definitely quite more intense at the higher freq.

I find it hard to blame it on my room: very large, open-concept house, carpeted floor half way (15' from the speakers), back wall very irregular (kitchen) 25' from the speakers. Though there is a lot of hardwood (cabinets, floor in dinette and kitchen) and windows).
