One of the difficult things about SET, is use with large/larger speaks in a small room. Initially, after going SET some nine years ago, tried speaks based soley on sensitivity. The larger (box) speakers simply overloaded the room, even at modest or normal levels. And sounded nothing like music. Booom, booom, booom. I even resorted to disconnecting one woofer, and running the pair of speaks with only one operating LF driver.

These days ... have balanced, healthy, contextual, and (trainload of) fun bass on OB ... in small room. And yeah, the lack of box coloration per se, aint nothing to sneeze at neither :-). Toss in the ease, the simplicity .... and OB becomes quite viable for more than just a few.
