If you are looking for an “open” sounding low mid, I would suggest the cones over a 2482. I have not used a 2482 intentionally below 500 HZ, but even at that frequency preferred the sound of a horn loaded EVM 10.

A friend accidentally ran his 2482s which were on the old JBL 90 degree radial from 200-1200 hz at a nightclub (swapped the outputs with 4 horn loaded EVM12L) for a set before realizing why the PA sounded so odd, so they will take a low crossover point.

For that matter, prefered the EVM 10 over the Community M4 also, from 200-1200 hz.
