First, these speakers were designed to be used in pairs, one low ohm field coil driver and one high ohm field coil driver, mounted in a huge tone cabinet. Set up that way, their efficiency is great, easily powered by flea pwr amps. If you are using them singly, the larger box sizes will yield more bass efficiency.

Remember, one of the tone cabs, with it's two A-12s, was sufficient to spread the organ notes throughout a large auditorium ! That is efficient!
