You might try a baffle-step correction circuit as described by Martin King. It helps balance out the response of the speaker in the upper frequency regions, reducing the ear fatigue. I use one in my 207E based monitor speaker (Omega TS-1). The price you pay for introducing this circuit is a reduction in the speaker sensitivity. But if your amp is not flea-powered, and has a little bit of head room, it should do OK.
Try out the BSC. It is completely reversible. You might end up liking the 207E.
