Mastering Experts Gear Up for More SACD Releases

An interesting article appears today on page 1 of the August issue of Pro Sound News.
In the article, mastering engineers Stephen Marcussen of Marcussen Mastering in Hollywood and David Glasser of Airshow Mastering in Boulder, Colorado talk about the recent increase in SACD mastering projects for upcoming SACD releases.
According to the article, Marcussen just completed work on the Multichannel SACD of Live at Budokan by Ozzy Osbourne.
Another interesting tidbit is that the folks at SADiE is poised to introduce a SACD product that would include multichannel authoring and editing (right now, the only SADiE SACD product is a 2 channel unit).
Marcussen says the number of SACD releases he's worked on has "expanded ten fold since last year. We're doing quite a bit of it."
