Canadian Market

66.38.175.206

Chris,

The cost of the Canadian dollar is $.64. The purchasing power of the Canadian dollar, according to Stats Canada, is $.82. As CEO of manufacturing companies operating on both sides of the border I can assure you that this means exactly what it appears to mean: Canadians pay lower prices on everything from CDs to cars. Actually, if you filter out the tax effects in Europe, American consumers pay the highest prices in the world for almost everything. Except luxury goods: BMW just puts the exchange on the U.S. price and that is what you pay. Luckily for enterprising Americans, there are plenty of deals to be had through mail order and the internet, much of it being
gray market goods.

End of lecture. I'll buy mine in the States.
