RE: MFSL "Filles De Kilimanjaro" SACD

This weekend I passed several hours alternating between the Filles SACD and the MoFi and UK CBS LPs. Esoteric K-01X vs. Luxman PD444 with Kuzma 4P, SME 3012R, Accuphase AC-5, Grace F9 with Soundsmith OCL Ruby. These tonearm and cartridge combos differ primarily in their bass presentations--helping to parse the OP's perception of the MoFi's heavy basslines.

All three sound fine. The SACD and the UK pressing have similarly neutral frequency balance. The MoFi 45 is addictive but the basslines are fatter and the palette seems richer than life-- which is probably WHY it's addictive...
