Mark Knopfler - "Shangri-La" in DVD-Audio - featuring Knopfler's warm baritone, effortless guitar work and signature storytelling style of songwriting. It is melodic and tasteful - 4 out of 5.
Malo - "Malo" Excellent fusion of rock, soul, and Latin music with solid multi-layered percussive rhythms - 4.5 out of 5.
Rush - "Signals" in Blu-Ray Audio - where Rush finally completed the merger of electronics into their music while still rocking out, combining reggae and new wave - 4.5 out of 5.
Tool - "Lateralus" in HDCD - reminiscent of King Crimson, Pink Floyd and Rush with complex rhythm changes, haunting vocals, and amazing dynamics - a solid, well-produced album - 4 out of 5.
