David Bowie ST aka "Space Oddity" 2015 Remaster




This a 24/192 album from the "Five Years" box set just released last week. I bought it as a download. It was recorded in 1969, and is Bowie's second album. All five albums after this show more high frequency content than this album. Possibly due to the early date of recording. I'm going to do all the albums in order if that's okay. The later ones look very nice.

Listening to the first three album remixes something tweaked my ear funny, but after listening to them for a couple of days I will have to say they are okay and worth listening to. Something made me want to run back to other copies and find the difference. Too bad Steven Wilson wasn't given this job. Bowie is an incredibly important artist, and Wilson seems to stick to the original intent of the artist. There is definitely more resolution with these albums. They sound hi-res.
