Self calibrating players - the sony SCD-1, SCD-XA9000ES....

My buddy had been having problem with the XA9000ES reading the all of the recent sludge of Hong Kong artistes SACDs from universal music.

He tried the self calibration function on the player, and it works.
He's been trying out all those discs again, and so far the player has been reading/playing them without any problem.

I tried it on my XA9000ES, and found much improved soundstaging and imaging, especially when I used Japanese pressed discs for the calibration, as I previously noted on the SCD-1.

Thanks to oldmkvi for the tip on the SCD-XA9000ES.

Are there any other self calibration players out there....?
