I just picked up an unused (display model) Oppo BDP-95. I'll be swapping that into the system while the Esoteric is getting fixed. That will give me a chance to audition the Samsung 51" 5500 as a replacement display without taking the Pro-1000HD down (Although my wife will hate having it parked in front of the fireplace!).
Anyway it should be fun auditioning the Oppo even if the wire to it's analog outputs in my system will be worth a multiple of the player. And I'll make it up to my wife by playing a couple of 3D Blu-Rays - she loves special effects.
