They reused the remote from DR-40 recorder for some reason. To get it to work with DR-40, firmware fix needs to be downloaded. DA-3000 may require the same. Don’t know why they cheapened out on the remote. All of their CD players offer full function remotes while costing 1/3‘rd of DA-3000. CD-200SB remote has keys to move up and down folder tree. Maybe it can be used with DA-3000 as well.I glanced through DA-3000‘s manual. If I understood correctly, there are 2 modes for each key on the remote: one for playback/recording with functions such as play, stop, rewind, etc and the other to navigate the folder structure. Same thing can be done via USB keyboard plugged into front panel, methinks.
