This is what I needed to know - Tascam didn't forget the lowly redbook as I don't have any hi-rez.

I am still undecided on using a PC/USB DAC combo as a source and the only other game in town that approaches PC's display convenience is using TV screen + DVD player the way you do it with Oppo. But, I wanted to try Burr Brown DAC and the SD card approach for some time. I saw a video of DA-3000‘s playback operation. It's ok. It’s not perfect, but should be more convinient than my CD player.
