Listening to the 96/24 II right now. Initial impressions - very natural bass - well defined, not flabby, sounds like a plucked instrument. Lots of air between instruments, good definition, soundstage generous right-to-left and front-to-back. Acoustic guitar in "Thank You" very sweet. Seems a touch bright, but it might just be me. "Bring It on Home" is quite cool - brings it into the living room.
Extras are meh.
Will eventually get around to an A/B with the Classic Records copy. So far, I am impressed.
