My Sony SCD-1, is it biting the dust

Hello all,

Well, I just discovered after being away for a week that upon returning my scd-1 will not play SACD hybrids in SACD mode but will play them in CD mode. SACD only discs will play fine in SACD mode and standard red book CDs play fine in regular CD mode. Player sounds good and everything operates as normal except for the situation mentioned above.

Help, anyone, what gives? If important, I do leave my player on 24/7 but do power down for away trips. Pretty bummed, I do like this player, have had it for a long time and it has served me well so any suggestions that might help would be appreciated. Thanks.
