Ayre C 5XEmp v Sony XA5400ES

I realize their respective MSRPs put them in different market elements, but has anyone had a chance to compare the sounds from those two players? I use balanced analog from my 5400ES to a Parasound JC-2 analog stereo preamp with excellent results, but wonder if an Ayre C 5XEmp might provide a noticeable improvement.
