Sounds like you have enabled a security password on the hard drive. If you don't know the password, I would hook it back to the computer and copy the files to a second hard drive. Use the second drive on the Oppo. You need to do this any way, since the files could be lost if any thing happens to the current computer. I never use passwords for hard drives storing music or photo files. It can come back to bite you later.
