RE: Esoteric Different strokes

Steelhead great points! What caught my attention:

I reached the same conclusion he did as the vinyl I rip to cd on my Alesis masterlink I do not think I could tell apart when I spin it in my Esoteric (and I have tried to do this screwing around).

This above shows that a CD player can sound as good as the vinyl when ripped and played back properly. The issue is then back to how well the CD was mastered. I've heard the same story before with vinyl lovers who have stared to convert their LP's.

So it seems that digital can be most enjoyable as I have found having many of my CD's sound better than my old vinyl and those do had great care taking in the mastering from the master tape. But many are not mastered to the high quality that audiophiles systems demand, but the same CD's sound great in the car audio and mid-to cheap systems.

LP's or 24/192, SHM, Blu-Ray,or SACD formats cannot change crap into a enjoyable listening experience.
