if you want to change for better sound especially from SACD's go for the Sony and enjoy more realistic mch sound which you can get from the XA5400ES if possible try & find the matching Sony DA6400 ES or later model with HATS and use HDMI. Another advantage with Sony receivers is that the pre-amp, MM phono stage and the FM tuner never mentioned in any review that I have seen are all excellent.
