New high resolution SACD releases, players and technology.

Not necessarilly so...consider what a $200 DAC surprise can do..

64.24.48.80

You might want to consider a DAC that a few astute audiophiles (over 40 people and growing)stretching from the New York area to New England and Chicago have fallen in love with including myself. This is a small underground group composed of music lovers who have been taken by the units performance on redbook. Sorry no print reviews available on this little gem.

How good is it?

Pause with a smile.

Most have replaced their Dodsons and Perpetuals and in some cases their turntables because of it!

The Art DI/O 2 channel tube D/A converter is just under 1.5lbs. I have not mentioned this DAC till now for fear that the members of this board will criticize something they have not heard based on its low cost. Remember, if its not 20k, its not a serious audiophile product! And that is the beauty of this DAC, its inexpensive! And beats the crap all over the Dodson DAC! Did you catch this Chris? Could it be possible? What a smile I have.

Tip of the day:
When you buy it, pay attention to how you connect the unit to your sacd player. And be patient, great things happen after 4 week burn-in although you will know its flavor much sooner right out of the box.

You can check with Sam Ash or any Proaudio shop on this unit. If you buy it, let me know what you think and more importantly how it rates when comparing your good redbook recordings with sacd.

Telefunkin anyone?
