Does the Marantz SA8001 Convert DSD to PCM?

New high resolution SACD releases, players and technology.

The Marantz SA8001 uses the Cirrus Logic CS4397 DAC. Does anyone know whether it down converts DSD to PCM when playing back Super Audio Compact Discs? Thank you.
