I have had continuing problems with this player (as I did with Krell's previous SACD Standard), most or all transport-related. Does anyone know what transport Krell uses in this unit? Any other information on reliability issues with this unit?
I realize it is not practical for most high-end companies to design and manufacture their own transports and related items; however, I understand Krell is not the only one putting cheap transports into expensive CD/SACD players. Even if it increases the retail price, why would any high-end manufacturer not use a reliable mechanism like one the the TEAC transports?
